A man has suffered a serious facial injury after being attacked in Renfrew.
The 25-year-old was assaulted with an unknown weapon between 2am and 3am on Saturday near to Kirklandeuk playing fields.
His attacker is described as a man around 5ft 10in tall, with a slim to medium build who spoke with a local accent.
He was wearing a blue puffer jacket with the hood up, dark grey or black jeans and black trainers.
Detective Constable James Campbell said: “This incident saw a man sustain a serious facial injury.
“I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage to contact us.”
