Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in North Lanarkshire.
Officers say a 38-year-old man was assaulted by three men who forced their way into his home address in Rosebank Street, Airdrie, at around 00.30am on Sunday, February 12.
Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Monklands University Hospital. He has since been released.
Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out door-to-door enquiries.
Those enquiries have established a white Range Rover Sport, with black alloys and a silver kick plate, was seen driving off from that area.
Officers are keen to trace the vehicle and its occupants.
Detective constable Lisa McMullen said: “This does appear to be a targeted attack which is being thoroughly investigated to identify those responsible. I would appeal to members of the public with any information to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone with dash-cams or other recording devices, to check their footage as it could assist in our investigation.”
