A man has been taken to hospital following a serious crash in Lanarkshire.
Police remain at the scene on the A725 near Bellshill following the collision which occurred around 12.25pm on Wednesday.
Emergency services continue to carry out investigations and drivers are being diverted.
Traffic Scotland have issued regular updates for diversions on the road currently closed southbound between Belziehill and Bellshill.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25pm on Wednesday, March 8, police were called to a report of a road crash on the A725 at Bellshill.
“One man was taken to hospital following the crash and police enquiries are ongoing.”
