Police locked down a park in West Dunbartonshire after a man died.

Emergency services were called to Argyll Park in Alexandria after receiving reports of a man taken unwell at around 11.15am on Friday.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.15am on Friday, February 16, 2024, police were called to a report of a man having taken unwell in Argyll Park, Alexandria.

“Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
