A man who was found dead in a Glasgow close at the weekend has been named.
Barry McLachlan was found injured within a common close on Knapdale Street, Lambhill in the early hours of Saturday.
Emergency services attended at around 2am and the 33-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged over the incident that police say is being treated as a murder.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
Detective Inspector Peter Crombie, senior investigating officer, said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of Barry and officers are providing support at this difficult time for them.
“I would like to thank members of the local community for their assistance in this enquiry and to reassure them there is no threat to the wider public.”
