A man has been left seriously injured after being assaulted by a group of people on a Glasgow street.
The 55-year-old was at the corner of Tullis Street and Greenhead Street in Bridgeton at around 8.15pm on Monday when a group of unidentified people attacked him.
Emergency services were called and the victim was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary in an ambulance.
Medical staff have described his injuries as “serious but non-life threatening”.
Police are now appealing for information.
Detective Constable Jay Gill of Shettleston Police Station said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have seen or heard any disturbance around the area on Monday evening to get in touch.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone with dashcam footage or private CCTV.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2802 of 03 January or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
