Man left in hospital after being struck by car as police seek witnesses

The 23-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after being struck on Glasgow's South Street on Sunday.

A man was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Glasgow.

Road policing officers were called to South Street at around 10.30pm on Sunday, after receiving reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car.

A 23-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

His current condition is unknown.

Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area and who witnessed the crash to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash-cam footage which could assist our investigation to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 3597 of Sunday, March 12, 2023.
