A man was taken to hospital after being found injured at Glasgow Central Station at around 3.35am on Friday.

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being injured at Glasgow Central Station.

Police were called to a report of a man being found injured in the Gordon Street area of the city at around 3.35am on Friday.

He was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. His condition has been described as serious.

A police investigation has been launched into the incident and witnesses have been asked to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: “Around 3.35am on Friday, June 9, police were called to a report of a man found injured in Gordon Street, Glasgow.

“He was taken by Ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where hospital staff describe his condition as serious.

“Detectives are currently carrying out enquiries in the area to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this serious assault and anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference number 0368.

“Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
