A man was taken to hospital after being struck by a lorry that failed to stop at the scene.
The incident took place on Inverkip Road, in Greenock, at around 6.35pm on Friday, November 4.
Police are seeking to find the driver of the Mercedes Artic van who hit the 38-year-old man, who was taken to Inverclyde Hospital with a leg injury.
The road was closed to allow for an investigation to be carried out.
Officers are checking CCTV footage from the roads network for any additional information about the lorry or driver.
Drivers that have dash cams are being asked to check to see whether they may have footage concerning the incident.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans said: “I am appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact us.
“We are conducting inquiries to locate the driver of the lorry who failed to stop.
“I would ask any motorists with dash cams who were in and around that area to check the footage as it may have captured images of the lorry which could assist in our investigation.”
