An investigation has been launched after a man has been left in hospital following an attempted murder in Kilmarnock.
A 39-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to injuries following the attack in a property at McPhail Drive at around 8.10pm on Sunday.
His current condition is unknown.
Officers have confirmed that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers attended at McPhail Drive in at around 8.10pm on Sunday, September 18, 2022, following the attempted murder of a 39-year-old man.
“The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.”
