Man found dead near tower block as suspect arrested

A man has been found dead near a tower block in Glasgow and suspect has been arrested in connection.

Police locked down the Kirkton Avenue area of the city at around 9.10pm on Thursday after the body of a 33-year-old man was discovered.

Officers confirmed that a 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing at this time.

A police spokesperson said: “Around 9.10pm on Thursday, November 2, police received a report of the death of a 33-year-old man in the Kirkton Avenue area of Glasgow.

“A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death and enquiries are ongoing.”
