A man is fighting for his life after being found seriously injured on a street in Glasgow’s Pollokshields.
The 33-year-old was discovered on St Andrew’s Drive, near to the junction with Shields Road, at around 6pm on Thursday.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Medical staff described his condition as critical.
Detectives are working to figure out how the man became so seriously hurt.
Police Scotland said extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Detective sergeant Jason Nicol, of Cathcart Police Office, said: “It is absolutely vital that we find out how the man came about his injuries and we are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.
“I am appealing to anyone who was on the area yesterday evening and witnessed what happened to this man to please get in touch.
“I would also urge any motorists with dash-cams who were travelling in the area at around that time to check their footage in case they have managed to capture anything of significance.”
