A man has been killed after being hit by a car in Paisley.
The 37-year-old pedestrian was struck by a silver Ford Fiesta on Causeyside Street at around 10.15pm on Saturday.
Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene.
The man driving the Ford Fiesta did not require medical treatment, police said.
The road was closed for around six hours while investigations were carried out and later re-opened at around 5am.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following the fatal crash.
Sergeant Christopher Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died in this crash and out enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
“We are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who was in the area prior to the incident and who may be able to help to contact us.
“Two vehicles stopped to assist at the time and left prior to speaking with officers. I would appeal to those drivers and occupants to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone with any dash cam footage or private CCTV which may assist us to contact us.”
