A man has been charged after allegedly assaulting police officers at a Glasgow park.

Police sent cars, vans and a helicopter to Kelvingrove Park following reports a member of the public was threatened by a man on Friday afternoon.

A spokesperson later confirmed a 43-year-old man had been arrested in connection with assaulting police officers and resisting arrest.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Inspector Paul Daley said: “A 43-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with assaulting police officers and resisting arrest following a report that man threatened a member of the public at Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow around 12.15pm on Friday.

“No officers were injured and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
