Police ScotlandA man has been charged in connection with the rape of a teenager in Paisley.
Police launched an investigation in Foxbar after a woman, 19, was sexually assaulted on Brediland Road on Wednesday, August 26.
Officers have now confirmed a 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The 40-year-old man has now been charged and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today, Tuesday, 29 September, 2020.
“A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
