A man has been charged in connection with the alleged rape of a woman at a hotel room in North Lanarkshire.
The 44-year-old was allegedly attacked at the accommodation in the Main Street area of Coatbridge at around 2am on Sunday, October 15.
Officers believe she met a man at a taxi rank nearby after leaving a bar in the area earlier in the evening.
Police Scotland confirmed that a 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection.
He is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
