STV NewsA man has been charged in connection with a serious assault after a man was taken to hospital in North Lanarkshire.
Police confirmed a 35-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the assault which took place at around 8.40am on Wednesday, February 28 on East High Street in Airdrie.
A 34-year-old man was taken to Monklands Hospital for treatment as a result of the incident and later released.
The man charged was due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday.
