A man has been left seriously injured after a two-car crash and a subsequent assault in Johnstone.
Officers were called to reports of a collision on Elm Drive at around 2.30pm on Thursday, October 27.
After the crash, there was a disturbance at the scene between a number of people from the vehicles involved.
A 21-year-old man was seriously assaulted, and was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Detective constable Jade Clark of Paisley Police Station said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are working to establish the full circumstances and identify the people involved in this incident.
“Our enquiries suggest other people were in the area at the time of the incident and they may have dashcam or mobile phone footage which could help our investigation.
