A man has been arrested following a series of sneak-in thefts that targeted the elderly.
Police launched an investigation into a number of robberies across Renfrewshire and Inverclyde in recent weeks.
On Thursday, a 38-year-old man was arrested following an alleged theft from the home of a 78-year-old woman in Kilmacolm.
Inspector Tracy Harkins said investigating officers “worked tirelessly”.
She added: “I am absolutely delighted with the arrest of this male.
“He is suspected of being involved in a number of recent thefts from the elderly within Paisley, Elderslie, Greenock and Kilmacolm.”
