Heroin with an estimated street value of £96,000 has been seized from an area in Bearsden.
Police officers conducted a search of Station Road around 6.30pm on Tuesday, April 9, where the quantity of class A drugs were recovered.
The recovery has been described as “significant”.
A 48-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with drugs and road traffic offences.
He is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on April 11 and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Inspector Owen Murray from Police Scotland’s Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit said: “This was a very significant recovery and demonstrates our determination to disrupt drugs activity and protect members of the public from the harm caused by this type of criminality.
“It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
