Google MapsA 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a flat was deliberately set on fire in an attempted murder.
Emergency services were called to the property at Russell Drive in Ayr at around 4.30am on Saturday, September 10.
Officers said they believed the fire at the top floor flat was started deliberately in a targeted attack.
The fire was successfully extinguished and there were no injuries as a result of the incident.
Police have now confirmed that they arrested a man on Wednesday, September 14.
He has been charged in connection with the attempted murder at the flat
The man appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Thursday, September 15.
