A man has been arrested after drugs worth £120,000 were seized at a property in Ayrshire.

Officers executed a warrant at the premises in Ardrossan’s Chapelhill Mount area on Friday.

Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £120,000 were found.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the recovery, and will appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on April 17.

Sergeant Terry McEwan said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to tracking down those responsible for the supply of illegal substances.

“Anyone with information or concerns about drugs should contact us on 101, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
