Man appears in court charged with possession of offensive weapon

A man has appeared in court charged with possession of an offensive weapon and threatening and abusive behaviour.

Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Lyttleton, East Kilbride at around 5.10pm on Thursday, July 25.

A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Ryan Chalmers made no plea at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday, July 26 after being charged with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and with possession of an offensive weapon.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear again in court within eight days.
