A man and a woman are due in court following a disturbance involving an airgun.

The pair were arrested and charged after police were alerted to an incident at a flat in Glasgow’s McNair Street on Monday afternoon.

The force said a vehicle involved was traced nearby and a BB gun recovered.

No one was injured in the disturbance.

A 28-year-old man and 27-year-old woman are expected to appear in connection with the incident at the city’s sheriff court on Tuesday.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 4.35pm on Monday, June 8, police attended a report of a disturbance at a flat in McNair Street, Shettleston.  

“Officers attended and traced a vehicle involved nearby.  

“A BB gun was recovered and no one was injured.  

“A 28-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with this incident and are due before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 9.  

“A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
