A man and woman have been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance involving weapons in Port Glasgow.

The pair are due to appear in court following the incident on Saturday, April 1.

Police were called to the scene on Stanton Square in Port Glasgow after reports of a disturbance which involved “offensive weapons”.

Officers confirmed on Thursday that a man aged 31 and a 27-year-old woman have now been arrested and charged.

They are expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court on Thursday.
