Police have launched an investigation after a man and woman were attacked by group of men outside a pub in Glasgow city centre.
Emergency services were called to a licensed premises on Howard Street, after a 45-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were assaulted at around 10.30pm on Saturday, March 11.
Officers have established that the man, who has been left with serious injuries, was attacked by a group of five or six men, before the woman attempted to intervene.
An appeal has been launched for witnesses following the attack.
Detective constable Larissa Cooper said: “We’re carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and identify the men involved.
“If you were in the Howard Street area around the time in question, or have any information which could assist our investigation, please call police on 101, quoting incident 4162 of March 11.
“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
