Arrests over 'disorder' at Rangers v Dortmund game

Man and two teens arrested over ‘disorder’ at Rangers v Dortmund Ibrox clash in Europa League SNS Group

Three people have been arrested in connection with disorder at the Europa League clash between Rangers and Borussia Dortmund at Ibrox on Thursday night.

Police Scotland said two male teenagers – aged 15 and 19 – were arrested, along with a 58-year-old man.

Superintendent Emma Croft said: “Police Scotland worked closely with a range of partners including Rangers Football Club ahead of the match between Rangers and Borussia Dortmund at Ibrox on Thursday, February 24, 2022.

“An appropriate policing plan was in place to maintain public safety, minimise disruption to the community and to support Rangers Football Club’s match day operation in the stadium.

“Three males, aged 58, 19 and 15, were arrested in connection with disorder-related offences.”

The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with Rangers progressing to the last-16 of the competition 6-4 on aggregate.
