A man has been airlifted to hospital following a crash involving a car and a motorbike in South Ayrshire.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene on Tarbolton Road in the village of Dundonald on Saturday after reports of the incident.
A 35-year-old man initially received treatment from responders before being taken by helicopter to a medical facility in Glasgow.
Police Scotland officers remained on the scene more than six hours after the incident while an initial investigation was under way.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 11.50am on Saturday, August 27, officers were called to a report of a two vehicle crash involving a car and a motorbike on Tarbolton Road in Dundonald.
“Emergency services attended and a 35-year-old man was taken the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow by Helimed.”
They added: “The road is currently closed and enquiries are continuing.”
