A pensioner has been left “badly affected” after being attacked and robbed on a footpath in North Lanarkshire.
Police said a 77-year-old man was pushed from behind to the ground and robbed of his bag by two male assailants near a youth club in Viewpark between 10.40pm and 10.50pm on Sunday, July 14.
A number of the man’s personal belongings were stolen before the pair ran off.
Police said the man, who did not seek medical treatment, was left “badly affected” by the incident.
Officers are appealing for any relevant CCTV footage which could provide information on the two suspects.
Detective Constable Ian Dymock said: “I am appealing to anyone who has any information on this incident or the two suspects to please get in touch with us.
“The victim did not seek medical treatment, but he has been badly affected by what has happened.
“I would ask anyone with dash cams or doorbell recording equipment to check their footage, it could have captured images of the two men which would assist our investigation.”
