Male teacher arrested following allegation of voyeurism by school pupil

A teacher at a North Lanarkshire high school has been arrested following allegations of voyeurism.

The 28-year-old male teacher at Greenfaulds High School was arrested on Tuesday, March 28.

Police said that their enquiries are ongoing, and the man has been released in the meantime.

STV News understands that a pupil made an allegation against the teacher.

A North Lanarkshire Council spokeswoman said the council was assisting police with their enquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 28-year-old man has been arrested and released pending further investigation following a report of voyeurism which occurred on Athelstane Drive, Cumbernauld on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
