A major road in Dumfries and Galloway was closed for over eight hours after a “multi-vehicle” collision.
Emergency services were called to the A75, between Newton Stewart and Barlae, at around 2.15pm on Monday after receiving reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles.
The road was shut for over eight hours, and drivers were urged to use caution in the area.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the road later reopened at around 11pm.
It is unknown at this stage if there were any casualties as a result of the crash.
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
