iStockOne side of the M8 motorway has been closed in Glasgow after a serious single-vehicle crash.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on the westbound carriageway of the M8, between junctions 12 and 13, on Thursday afternoon.
Traffic Scotland said the road had been closed after a “serious collision”.
Police confirmed they were in attendance and are advising drivers to take alternative routes.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The M8 is currently closed westbound between junctions 12 and 13 in Glasgow due to a crash involving a single vehicle.
“Officers are at the scene. Please plan journeys to avoid the area and use alternative routes.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
