M8 closed after incident leaves debris strewn across road

An incident on the M8 in Glasgow has closed the road after leaving large amounts of debris on the carriageway.

Just after 9am on Friday, Traffic Scotland announced that the third lane on the M8 eastbound was blocked at junction 22 due to a RTC (road traffic collision).

The M8 eastbound was then closed with the M77 exit slip to the motorway also closed.

Police Scotland said the debris fell from a lorry.
