The M8 near Glasgow Airport has reopened after being at a standstill at rush hour following a police incident.
Traffic Scotland confirmed Junction 27 of the motorway was closed in both directions after 6.14am on Tuesday due to a “police incident” with drivers delayed by around 45 minutes.
Traffic came to a standstill with local diversions in place, with congestion still heavy in the area as of 7am before the road was cleared in both directions.
Traffic Scotland warned of delays of approximately 45 minutes for drivers on M8 Westbound with traffic backed up to Glasgow Airport.
Delays of around 20 mins on the A737 are to be expected, while 23 minute congestion is expected on the motorway heading east.
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
