The singer posted an appeal on social media following the theft which is being investigated by police.

Lewis Capaldi’s sister has had her car stolen in Glasgow as the star has urged people to be on the lookout.

The singer has issued an appeal after his sister, Danielle, had her Mini Cooper stolen from a car park in the east end of the city.

Posting on Instagram, he said: “Sister’s car has been nicked! Keep a look out if you’re in Glasgow (v Facebook mum post of me).”

Police confirmed the theft, which occurred around 1.55pm on Sunday at a car park in Tollcross.

The car is described as red and black, with a Mickey Mouse topper on its aerial and has a registration plate of AJ21 MXL.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.55pm on Sunday, December 11, a report has been made to police regarding the theft of a car from an address in Tollcross, Glasgow.  Enquiries are at an early stage.”
