Police are appealing to track down motorcyclist that left the scene of the collision on Thursday October 5.

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a motorbike in a hit-and-run incident in Johnstone.

Police rushed to reports of a collision involving a motorbike and a pedestrian in Cochranemill Road at around 7.20pm on Thursday, October 5 2023.

The 15-year-old boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. His condition is currently unknown.

The rider of the motorbike made off and enquiries are ongoing to trace them.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Alasdair Bisset said: “I’m keen to trace members of the public who stopped to help the young male before emergency services attended. They may have information which could assist us tracing the rider of this motorbike.

“I’d also appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened, has dashcam footage or any information which could help with our investigation, to come forward.”
