Jewellery worth tens of thousands of pounds has been stolen from a house in Ayrshire.
The property on Southwood Road in Troon was broken into sometime between 2.15pm on July 15 and 6.45pm on July 17.
The intruders made off with jewellery worth a five figure sum including a pair of diamond rings and an Omega watch.
No one was in the house at the time of the break-in.
Detective sergeant Craig Gilmour, South Ayrshire CID, said: “Although Southwood Road is quite secluded, I am still keen to hear from anyone, particularly drivers with dash-cam footage, who were in the area over the weekend.
“Officers have been making local enquiries but we would appeal to anyone who may have seen a car that they thought was out of place or maybe circling the area with a number of people on board.
“There is a hotel and golf course nearby so again if you have any footage that you think may assist officers with their enquiries then please get in touch.
“The value of the jewellery is significant, but more than that, the sentimental value is priceless.
“Please call officers via 101 quoting reference number 3085 of Sunday, July 17 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
