The construction of a £68m super school in East Ayrshire is set to finish on Friday as pupils get ready to move in.
The Barony Campus in Cumnock will boast an immersive cinema, auditorium, recording studio and 13 indoor sports courts.
Pupils from Auchinleck and Cumnock academies are due to move in on October 26, before primary children begin attending in November.
Councillor Jim McMahon said: “I m absolutely delighted we are at this stage. It will open up a new world of opportunities for the pupils at the Barony.
“There will also be community benefits with a world-class auditorium, cafe and gym facilities.
“I can’t wait until the kids are in. I look forward to visiting.”
The huge education complex will combine five schools and two nurseries.
Staff are currently packing for the big move at Cumnock and Auchinleck academies. Both secondaries will merge to form the Robert Burns Academy.
Teachers will set up their classrooms at the Barony Campus from October 20 to 23.
The campus will also be home to Barshare and Greenmill primary schools. They will both be called Lochnorris Primary School.
The two nurseries will become the Cherry Trees Early Childhood Centre. Hillside ASN School will also be based at the site.
There is to be a total of around 2300 pupils on the campus.
