Sub Club staged its third annual electronic music takeover at a park in the south of Glasgow.
More than 2,500 music fans flocked to Queen’s Park Arena for the third edition of the Sub Club Southside Weekender on Saturday and Sunday (July 20-21).
Saturday’s line-up featured New York house music legend François K, Rotterdam’s Suze Ijó and a headlining set from the venue’s techno veterans Harri & Domenic, whose club night Subculture celebrated 30 years in 2024.
French label boss and radio pioneer, Gilles Peterson, Glasgow DJ ButhoTheWarrior and Shanti Celeste & Peach took over the decks at the bandstand on Sunday.
Organisers also teamed up with Glasgow community radio station Radio Buena Vida for opening sessions each day featuring resident selectors: J Pang and JB Moss.
Event director Mike Grieve, said: “The third edition of the Sub Club Southside Weekender was amazing. Despite the weather, the energy and enthusiasm of the audience was unstoppable.
“From the blissful sets by François K and Gilles Peterson to the brilliant closing performances by Harri & Domenic and Shanti Celeste & Peach, plus all the other incredible DJs who shared their own selections, every moment was filled with music and joy.
“Yet again Glasgow proved that nobody parties better – even in the rain! We are grateful to our supporters and our incredible line-up of local and international artists who made this event a true celebration of electronic music. We are looking forward to next year already.”
