Police have released an image of a man they believe could help them in an ongoing investigation into an assault in Glasgow city centre.

The incident happened on Argyle Street near to Queen Street at around 3.25pm on Saturday, May 7.

Officers are urging the man, or anyone who has information about him, to come forward and contact police.

The man in the photo is described as white, with short dark hair and a dark beard. He was wearing a Celtic top, grey shorts and white trainers.

Detective constable John Aitken said: “I would urge the man, or anyone who has information relating to him to contact police.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2482 of Saturday, May 7, 2022, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously.”
