A man who was found dead in water at an Argyll and Bute beauty spot has been identified, police have confirmed.
Gordon Don, 48, was found in the water at Lochan Na Craoibhe, Glencoe, on Wednesday, June 29.
Officers carried out investigations for over two weeks before locating the Paisley man’s next-of-kin. They confirmed that his death is not being treated as suspicious.
In a statement through Police Scotland, his family said: “Gordon has gone too soon. He will be sadly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.”
Detective sergeant Joe Newson said: “Our thoughts are with Gordon’s family at this difficult time and they have asked for privacy.
“I would also like to thank the public who responded to our appeal to identify Gordon.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and, as with all sudden deaths, a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
