The iconic People’s Palace in Glasgow is set to reopen next week.

The site was closed in September last year for essential maintenance works.

Glasgow Life confirmed the museum will open again on Wednesday, February 23, from 10am.

It was also announced the museum will return to its usual opening hours seven days a week.

Between Mondays and Thursday, as well as on Saturdays, opening hours will be from 10am until 5pm.

On Fridays and on Sundays, opening hours will be between 11am and 5pm.

The cafe and the shop, however, will remain closed, Glasgow Life said, whilst the top floor of the museum will also temporarily remain closed.

There has not as yet been confirmation over the Winter Gardens, which have been closed since 2018.
