A hunt has been launched for two teenagers after a man was attacked on a train from Glasgow Central station.
Officers were alerted to the incident that happened on board a train from Glasgow Central to Largs around 7pm on May 18.
The victim was attacked by two youths, one described as wearing a Celtic top and the other wearing an orange top.
He was taken to hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
The force said that both of the suspects, described as being white, and aged around 15 or 16 years old, left the train at Kilwinning.
Anyone with information is being urged to come forward.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or by texting 61016, with reference 597 of 18/05/2024.”
