A hunt has been launched for a group of masked men after three cars were “deliberately” set ablaze in a car park at Braehead.

Emergency services were called to the scene on King’s Inch Road at around 12.55am on Tuesday, September 27.

Three cars – a Kia Sorrento, a Mitsubishi Shogun and a Toyota Hiace – had been set alight. The flames were put out by attending firefighter crews.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Four men who were dressed in all black and wearing masks were seen in the area, before making off in an unknown direction.

Police believe these men may have information that could help with their inquiries.

Detective constable Gary Bruce said: “Fortunately no one was injured but three vehicles were extensively damaged and we are keen to speak to the men seen at the time.

“If you saw anything suspicious, or have dash-cam or private CCTV footage that could assist with our ongoing investigation then please get in touch.”

Anyone who can help with enquiries is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0102 of Tuesday, September 27, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
