A woman was rushed to hospital following a serious assault on Friday night in West Dunbartonshire.
At around 9.10pm on October 20, a 57-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after being assaulted on Munro Street in Alexandria.
She was taken to hospital and released following treatment.
Police are now hunting for a suspect described as a man in his late 30s, around 5ft 4in in height with short dark hair.
At the time of the attack he was wearing a blue tracksuit top and blue jeans.
Detective constable Darren Boag said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or had sight of the man described.
“Likewise if you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation then please get in touch.”
