A heavy police presence has been spotted at a country park in East Dunbartonshire on Tuesday.
Residents reported seeing helicopters circling Mugdock Country Park in Milngavie at around 11am on April 25.
Police later confirmed that officers were in attendance at the park over an ongoing missing person investigation.
No further information is currently available, and police said there is no risk to the wider public.
One person at the scene reported seeing police cars heading up to the park’s main parking lot.
An unconfirmed report added that a house near the car park had been cordoned off.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are currently in attendance at Mugdock Country Park carrying out a search in relation to a missing person.
“There is no risk to the wider public.”
