Gang wearing all black leave man in hospital following attack

Police are appealing for information after a 35-year-old man was hurt.

A man was left seriously injured after being attacked by a group of men all wearing black.

The 35-year-old was approached by the group, consisting of five or six young men, before being assaulted.

The incident took place in Irvine, Ayrshire, on Thursday, November 3 at around 8.15pm.

He was taken to Crosshouse Hospital following the attack at the junction of Livingston Terrace and Beaton Terrace.

Officers say that the men who made up the group were aged between 18 and 25-years-old.

Detective constable Fraser Murray, Saltcoats CID, said: “I am asking anyone who was in the area before and after this assault to get in touch as you may have information that could help with our investigation.

“I am also asking anyone with dash-cam or private CCTV that might assist with our enquiries to get in touch.”
