American rock icons Green Day brought a fan on stage to perform with them during their sell-out concert in Glasgow.
The band, led by Billie Joe Armstrong, played at Bellahouston Park on Tuesday night as part of their Saviours tour – performing hit albums Dookie and American Idiot in their entirety.
One fan wearing an American Idiot t-shirt was brought onto the stage to play guitar, doing a duet of their song Dilemma with Armstrong from the most recent Saviours album.
Jake Rodger, who plays in the band Conflict Hope, brought a sign to the show that read “I can play Dilemma on guitar”.
The band posted on Facebook: “Jake’s dreams came true tonight! Playing on stage with the band that first made him pick up a guitar and taught him everything he knows.
“Thank you for the most special moment.”
Green Day’s official TikTok account posted the video of the fan on stage with Armstrong with the caption “So you know how to play Dilemma?”.
English rock band Nothing But Thieves, and punk band Maid of Ace played as opening acts before the headliners.
The band were previously forced to cancel a show at Bellahouston in July 2017 due to “adverse weather conditions.”
