Man seriously injured after being hit by taxi in early morning crash

A 50-year-old is in hospital after being struck by a white taxi just after 1am on Sunday morning.

A 50-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was struck by a white taxi in Glasgow.

Police said the collision took place at around 1.15am on Great Western Road near Warden Road on Sunday.

Officers are urging those who may have seen the incident to get in touch.

Police Sergeant Sean Dempsey of the Road Policing Unit said : “I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to or provided this information to officers, to contact us as soon as possible.

“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0264.”
