Train services between Glasgow and Edinburgh are facing disruption after a vehicle struck a bridge.
At around 8.43am on Monday, ScotRail advised customers that services between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh stations were disrupted after a vehicle struck a bridge in the Addiewell area.
Services were cancelled until Network Rail engineers were able to inspect the bridge and deem it safe for trains to cross.
A network rail spokesperson said: “We’re responding to reports of a vehicle striking a bridge at Addiewell.
“The bridge will need to be examined before services can safely pass over the bridge again.
“Our staff are expected to arrive at the scene in around 20 minutes. We’ll provide a further update ASAP.”
